 DAY 1

Colombo Airport - Kandy

Overnight stay in Kandy


Welcome on arrival at Colombo airport, by ORANTA HOLIDAYS representative, and then travel to Kandy - last kingdom of Sri Lanka, visiting en route the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala. Later settle in at your hotel in Kandy and at leisure.

At Elephant Orphanage you can feed and bath the baby elephants, or simply sit and watch at many elephants relaxing in an idyllic and natural environment. The zoological garden is situated close to Elephant Orphanage. (Feeding time for baby elephant is at 09:15 am & 13:15 pm).


By afternoon explore City of Kandy, start with tooth relic temple and adjoining ruins of royal palace (a UNESCO world heritage site), ending the day with witnessing a Cultural performance featuring the traditional dance and drumming that Kandy is renowned for.


Kandy is an exciting place for shopping with souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony and bronze. Ceramics, lacquer work, hand looms, batiks and world famous exceptional kinds of Gems and jewellery.



 Day 2

Kandy – Nuwara eliya

After breakfast at hotel travel to Nuwara eliya, en route visiting the Royal botanical garden at Peradeniya and a tea factory/garden in Ramboda and Ramboda water fall. Later, settle in at your hotel, relax and by evening enjoy the city tour in Nuwara eliya.


Visit to a Tea factory to observe the progress of making Tea, completes your visit to this Tea plantation region surrounded by the breathtaking and idyllic landscapes. You can view the vibrant green fields of tea which symbolize the image of Sri Lanka. You will also get a chance to taste and purchase some of the world’s finest tea.


Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort and supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, and is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen ann style mansions. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea production, producing a significant share of the world's best tea. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8,282 feet) is also located here and the city is renowned for having one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.



 Day 3

Nuwara eliya – Colombo

After breakfast at hotel travel to Colombo, visiting en route the water rafting village in Kitulgala.

At Colombo (major city of Sri Lanka), enjoy the city tour...... you might also need to take part in some last minute shopping in to some famous boutique shops like “ODEL unlimited, House of Fashions, Majestic city mall, Noritake ceramic shop, Cotton Collection, Ceylon Tea show room” etc,.

Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its own phase. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. Drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area where you can shop for bargain, a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. You can be highly entertained by the blend of unique bazaar style pedestrian stalls, barrow boys, branded outlets and a number of dramatic and awe-inspiring religious monuments.



Day 4

Colombo - Airport
(30 km`s – 1 hour drive)



After breakfast at hotel, depending on your departure flight schedule your chauffeur will direct you to airport for a safe return journey home.
