 DAY 1

Colombo Airport - Kandy

Overnight stay in Kandy


Welcome on arrival at Colombo airport, by ORANTA HOLIDAYS representative, and then travel to Kandy - last kingdom of Sri Lanka, visiting en route the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala. Settle in to your hotel and at leisure.

At Elephant Orphanage you can feed and bath the baby elephants, or simply sit and watch at many elephants relaxing in an idyllic and natural environment. The zoological garden is situated close to Elephant Orphanage. (Feeding time for baby elephant is at 09:15 am & 13:15 pm).




 Day 2

Sightseeing in Kandy

After breakfast at hotel sightseeing visits in Kandy, start with royal botanical garden at Peradeniya, later explore the city of Kandy including tooth relic temple and adjoining ruins of royal palace (a UNESCO world heritage site).

Kandy is an exciting place for shopping with souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony and bronze. Ceramics, lacquer work, hand looms, batiks and world famous exceptional kinds of Gems and jewellery.

If you prefer to witness a Cultural dance show, then you will finish the day with watching a Cultural performance featuring the traditional dance and drumming that Kandy is renowned for.




 Day 3

Kandy - Nuwara eliya

Overnight stay in Nuwara eliya


After breakfast at hotel travel to Nuwara eliya, en route visiting a tea factory/garden, Sri Bhaktha hanuman temple and Ramboda water fall. Later, settle in to your hotel, relax and by evening city tour in Nuwara eliya including a visit to Sita Amman temple in Seetha eliya.

Visit to a Tea factory to observe the progress of making Tea, completes your visit to this Tea plantation region surrounded by the breathtaking and idyllic landscapes. You can view the vibrant green fields of tea which symbolize the image of Sri Lanka. You will also get a chance to taste and purchase some of the world’s finest tea.

Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort and supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, and is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen ann style mansions. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea production, producing a significant share of the world's best tea. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8,282 feet) is also located here and the city is renowned for having one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.





 Day 4

Nuwara eliya - Bentota 
(200 km`s – 05 hours drive)

Overnight stay in Bentota 


After breakfast at hotel travel to Bentota, en route visiting the famous water rafting village, Kitulgala. (you can enjoy a round of water rafting with the help of a trained guide on board). Settle in to your beach hotel by afternoon, and at leisure.




Day 5

Bentota – Balapitiya – Kosgoda – Colombo - Airport
(150 km`s – 04 hours drive)




After breakfast at hotel, travel to Balapitiya to enjoy a river cruise at Madu Ganga wet lands, later visit a turtle hatchery at Kosgoda and travel to Colombo. At Colombo.... enjoy the city tour...... you might also need to take part in some last minute shopping in to some famous boutique shops like “ODEL unlimited, House of Fashions, Majectic city mall, Noritake ceramic shop, Cotton Collection, Ceylon Tea show room” etc,.

Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its own phase. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. Drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area where you can shop for bargain, a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. You can be highly entertained by the blend of unique bazaar style pedestrian stalls, barrow boys, branded outlets and a number of dramatic and awe-inspiring religious monuments.
