 DAY 1

Colombo Airport - Sigiriya

Overnight stay in Sigiriya

Welcome on arrival by Oranta Holidays representative, at Colombo international Airport and start your journey driving you through beautiful landscapes of plantations and little villages to your hotel in Sigiriya. On the way at Pinnawala visit the Elephant Orphanage. On conclusion reach your hotel, settle in and relax.


At Elephant Orphanage you can feed and bath the baby elephants, or simply sit and Watch at many elephants relaxing in an idyllic and natural environment. Also visit the Zoological garden at Pinnawala situated close to Elephant Orphanage. (Feeding time for baby elephant is at 09:15 am)



 DAY 2

Sigiriya - Kandy

After breakfast at hotel proceed to visit Lion’s Rock fortress in Sigiriya, which is a part of Sri Lanka’s ‘Cultural Triangle’ and a UNESCO world heritage site. From top of Lions rock you will have a chance to gaze over the stunning views of central Sri Lanka. Then travel to famous town of Kandy, stopping at various places along the way for a chance to see some interesting places like Dambulla rock cave temple (UNESCO world heritage site) and a Spice garden at Matale.

Dambulla rock cave temple is a historically appreciated place (01st century BC – UNESCO world heritage site) Sri Lanka has to offer and the opportunity to gain some insight into Sri Lankan culture.

Reach Kandy and settle in at your hotel and relax….. Later proceed for sightseeing visits starting with City of Kandy and the most religious tooth relic temple, and some shopping visits in the city. If you prefer to witness a Cultural dance show, then you will finish the day with watching a Cultural Performance featuring the traditional dance and drumming that Kandy is renowned for.

Kandy is an exciting place for shopping with souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass,

ebony and bronze. Ceramics, lacquer work, hand looms, batiks and world famous exceptional kinds of Gems and jewellery.

Sigiriya is the ruins of an ancient palace in a 200 meter high rock fortress, overlooking the beautiful plains of north-central Sri Lanka. Built for an exiled Indian prince, the breathtaking ruins are one of Sri Lanka’s main tourist attractions and date back to AD 477. Despite its age, Sigiriya still retains much of its former beauty and features some of the finest examples of ancient art in the form of wall paintings, as well as a network of attractive gardens and reservoirs, and Sigiriya’s namesake, a gigantic pair of lion’s paws cut into the rock. With its fascinating history and unerring beauty, Sigiriya is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world and the UNESCO sponsored Central Cultural Fund has even restored Sigiriya’s 5th century water gardens, so that you can get a glimpse of what Sigiriya might have been like thousands of years ago.



 Day 3

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Today, after breakfast you will leave for Nuwara Eliya…… the mountain region with Tea Plantations, stopping at the Royal botanical garden at Peradeniya (optional) and a Tea factory & plantation at Ramboda. You will also visit the Ramboda water fall on the way.

Visit to a Tea factory to observe the progress of making Tea, completes your visit to this Tea plantation region surrounded by the breathtaking and idyllic landscapes. You can view the vibrant green fields of tea which symbolize the image of Sri Lanka. You will also get a chance to taste and purchase some of the world’s finest tea.

In the afternoon, you will arrive in Nuwara Eliya, an intriguing colonial-style town set in the heart of the tea-country, which still bears a distinctly British stamp. Well-kept lawns, hedges, an Anglican church, Georgian-style houses, and a well-celebrated golf course give this charming town an air of nostalgia.

Your trip to Nuwara Eliya will provide you with the perfect retreat after your visit to the historical sites, and because it is situated 1,890 meters above sea level, the air is cool and fresh, making Nuwara Eliya the perfect place to unwind. 



 Day 4

Nuwara Eliya - Yala

Overnight stay in Yala


After having breakfast at hotel, you will be traveling to Ella, the famous beautiful mountain Region full of nature sightseeing, at Ella, enjoy the hike to visit “Little Adams peak””, and then continue your journey to south-west coast of Yala.


Little Adam`s peak is 1141 m in height. Gradually with an easy hike up to the mountain of Little Adams Peak you can consummation a worth panoramic view. 3 km`s and 45 minutes by foot.

Settle in to your hotel at Yala by afternoon, and spend rest of the day at leisure by the pool…



 Day 5

Yala - Mirissa
(130 km`s – 02 hours 30 minutes drive)

Overnight stay in Mirissa 


After early breakfast at hotel, enjoy the wild life safari in Yala national park by 4 x 4 jeep. Return to hotel by late morning and then travel to Mirissa, the most famous beach destination in South end of the island.


Settle in at hotel by noon and rest of the day at leisure on the beach……


Yala national park: It`s an experience of epic proportions that brings you up, close and personal with untamed world of wildlife. Whether you are an avid nature lover or visiting a wildlife park for the first time, if you come here with a mind that’s eager to explore and learn, you will go away with new-found meaning to life.


Yala combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Divided into 5 blocks, the park has a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares of land consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons. Two blocks are currently opened to the public.


Situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles. The best time to visit Yala is between February and July when the water levels of the park are quite low, bringing animals into the open.


This is leopard country, and they are the lords of the jungle ! with a leopard density that`s higher than anywhere else on this planet, these menacing predators prowl majestically in Yala, while elephants roam in their numbers with cautious deer scampering by their side.




 Day 6

In Mirissa

Overnight stay in Mirissa 


After early breakfast at hotel, proceed to Mirissa harbor and board your boat to witness the Whales and Dolphins at Sea. Experience the Giants life style at sea and return to shore by noon, rest of the day at leisure…. May be engaging your choice of Sea water activity or relax at beach…..



 Day 7

Mirissa - Colombo - Airport
(180 km`s – 04 hours drive)



After breakfast morning at leisure on the beach, by noon check-out from hotel and travel to Colombo, the commercial city of Sri Lanka, and explore the city of Colombo.….. You might also need to take part in some last minute shopping in to some famous boutique shops like “ODEL unlimited, House of Fashions, Cotton Collection, Majestic city mall” etc,.


Enjoy your Dinner at a Sea side restaurant in Colombo and later, according to your return flight schedule, your chauffeur will drive you safely to Airport for the connecting flight for safe return journey home.


Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its own phase. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. You can be highly entertained by the blend of unique bazaar style pedestrian stalls, barrow boys, branded outlets and a number of dramatic and awe-inspiring religious monuments. Other place of interest is the Pettah bazaar - where you can shop for bargain.
