Negambo - Sigirya

After breakfast at hotel, start your journey driving you throughbeautiful landscapes of plantations and little villages to your hotel in Sigiriya, on the way visiting Elephant Orphanage and an Animal park at Pinnawala. Later settle in to your hotel, relax and then proceed to visit the Lion rock fortress in Sigiriya.


At Elephant Orphanage you can feed and bath the baby elephants, or simply sit and watch at many elephants relaxing in an idyllic and natural environment. Also visit the Zoological garden at Pinnawala situated close to Elephant Orphanage.

Sigiriya Rock is a UNESCO World Heritage site, well-known as Lion’s Rock which is a part of Sri Lanka’s ‘Cultural Triangle’ where you will have a chance to gaze over the stunning views of central Sri Lanka.


Sigiriya is the ruins of an ancient palace in a 200 meter high rock fortress, overlooking the beautiful plains of north-central Sri Lanka. Built for an exiled Indian prince, the breathtaking ruins are one of Sri Lanka’s main tourist attractions and date back to AD 477. Despite its age, Sigiriya still retains much of its former beauty and features some of the finest examples of ancient art in the form of wall paintings, as well as a network of attractive gardens and reservoirs, and Sigiriya’s namesake, a gigantic pair of lion’s paws cut into the rock. With its fascinating history and unerring beauty, Sigiriya is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world and the UNESCO-sponsored Central Cultural Fund has even restored Sigiriya’s 5th century water gardens, so that you can get a glimpse of what Sigiriya might have been like thousands of years ago.

Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya

On conclusion travel to Polonnaruwa, the 02nd ancient capitol of old Sri Lanka, explore the 11th century ruined city and return to hotel by evening.

Ancient city of Polonnaruwa –

Polonnaruwa is the second most ancient of Sri Lanka`s Kingdom`s, and the second capital of old Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. It comprises, (besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas) the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century. Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu 1, who defeated Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a world heritage site.


Day 4

Sigiriya - Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to famous town of Kandy, stopping at various places along the way for a chance to see some of the historically appreciated places like Dambulla Rock Cave temple (01st century BC – UNESCO world heritage site) Sri Lanka has to offer and the opportunity to gain some insight into Sri Lankan culture.

Then, it is time to cuddle some Sri Lankan traditions as you visit a Sri Lankan spice garden where you can learn about the basis of Ayurveda natural medicine, a custom essential to Sri Lankan culture.

Settle in to your hotel in Kandy by noon, relax, and later start exploring the city of Kandy including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth relic.

Kandy is an exciting place for shopping with souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony and bronze. Ceramics, lacquer work, hand looms, Batiks and world famous exceptional kinds of Gems and jewellery.

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at hotel travel to Nuwara eliya, on the way visiting the royal botanical garden in Peradeniya, and also stopping en route to visit a Tea plantation and tea factory.

You can view the vibrant green fields of tea which symbolize the image of Sri Lanka. You will also get a chance to taste and purchase some of the world’s finest tea.

In the afternoon, you will arrive in Nuwara Eliya, an intriguing colonial-style town set in the heart of the tea-country, which still bears a distinctly British stamp. Today after early breakfast (or packed breakfast) you will set off on a trek to Horton plains, the drive is 1 hour from your hotel to the Horton plains entrance, and then you will enjoy the trekking in this world famous highland rain forest.  You will get to visit the beautiful Bakers fall and the amazing world`s end.


Return to hotel by noon, and spend the evening at leisure.  





Day 7

Nuwara Eliya - Yala

After having breakfast at hotel, you will be traveling to Ella, the famous beautiful mountain Region, enjoy the hike to visit “Little Adams peak””, and then continue your journey to south-west coast of Yala.

Little Adam`s peak is 1141 m in height. Gradually with an easy hike up to the mountain of Little Adams Peak you can consummation a worth panoramic view. 3 km`s and 45 minutes by foot.


Settle in to your hotel in Yala by early afternoon, relax and later (or on you0r preference following early morning) travel to Yala National park by a 4 x 4 jeep to witness the wild life habitat. Yala national park is the most famous national park in the Island.

Situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles. The best time to visit Yala is between February and July when the water levels of the park are quite low, bringing animals into the open.

This is leopard country, and they are the lords of the jungle ! with a leopard density that`s higher than anywhere else on this planet, these menacing predators prowl majestically in Yala, while elephants roam in their numbers with cautious deer scampering by their side.





Day 8

Yala - Colombo
(260km`s – 4 hours drive)

After breakfast at hotel travel to Colombo, the major city of Sri Lanka, and explore the city of Colombo. You might also need to take part in some last minute shopping in to some famous boutique shops like “ODEL unlimited, Noritake ceramic shop, Cotton Collection, Show room of the Ceylon Tea” etc,.  

Settle in to your hotel by evening, rest of the day at leisure. Tonight you will stay at the world famous mount Lavinia hotel, the luxury beach resort in the city.

Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its own phase. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. You can be highly entertained by the blend of unique bazaar style pedestrian stalls, barrow boys, branded outlets and a number of dramatic and awe-inspiring religious monuments. Other place of interest is the Pettah bazaar - where you can shop for bargain.





Day 9

Colombo - Airport - Maldives
